Can we manage both donor milk and mothers’ own milk?
Yes. MilkTrail supports donor milk and mothers’ own milk. We agree the workflows for your milk bank, preparation teams and hospital wards during implementation.
Can MilkTrail connect several hospitals or milk banks?
Yes. MilkTrail is suitable for individual hospitals and regional or national networks. We scope the participating sites, workflows and access requirements with your organisation.
Can we use our existing pasteurisation machines, scanners and printers?
Most likely. We include an equipment review during implementation and aim to reuse as much of your existing equipment as possible, including scanners and printers. We also work with equipment manufacturers to enable connections, including to pasteurisation machines. Compatibility and any connection work are confirmed for your equipment and agreed scope.
Can MilkTrail connect to our existing systems?
MilkTrail supports API connections. Specific connections depend on the other system and are scoped separately. Bespoke integrations are not included by default.
Is training included?
Training for the agreed users is included in your implementation package. Additional training is available after you go live, with remote and on site options.
Does MilkTrail include nutrition planning and growth tracking?
A fully integrated neonatal nutrition module is planned for spring 2027. It will bring enteral and parenteral nutrition calculations, configurable nutrition guidelines and growth tracking into MilkTrail. The module is in development and is not yet available.
