Human milk bank management software
Prepare your milk bank for SoHO traceability
Wherever you are with SoHO, we help you take the next step
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. We work with your team to make milk traceability simpler, building on your existing routines and guiding you through setup, training and daily use.
We help you review your workflows, equipment and setup, step by step
Built specifically to support SoHO traceability requirements
MilkTrail connects donor, bottle, batch and delivery records to support traceability under the EU SoHO Regulation (EU) 2024/1938. We help your team build these records into daily work, with scanning and guidance at every step.

Preparing for SoHO traceability
Find the milk and records you need
When a question arises about a donation or batch, MilkTrail helps your team follow its history and find its recorded destinations, without piecing together paper files and spreadsheets.
Find the source
Identify the donations and bottles linked to a processing batch.
Follow the processing
Find the associated checks, results and release records.
Locate the destinations
See where milk was sent and find the related delivery records.
Regional and national solutions
Connect your milk bank across a regional or national network
Connect donors, milk banks, milk depots, preparation teams and hospital wards. Coordinate orders, deliveries and handovers while keeping milk records connected across your network.
Support a more resilient milk supply
Visibility of available milk and coordinated deliveries across participating sites can support contingency planning and help teams respond when supply is disrupted.

Implementation and support
Start where you are. We help with every step
We review how your milk bank works today, what equipment you already use and what you need next. Together, we agree a practical plan, configure MilkTrail, train your team and support you as you begin using it.
- Review your routines and agree a practical plan together
- Aim to reuse your scanners and printers, with compatibility reviewed
- Train your team and verify the setup before you go live
- Continue with standard support included in your annual licence
Most likely. We include an equipment review during implementation and aim to reuse as much equipment as possible. We also work with equipment manufacturers to enable connections, including to pasteurisation machines. Compatibility and any connection work are confirmed for your equipment and agreed scope.
We review your routines and identification requirements during implementation and agree the configuration with you. MilkTrail supports ISBT 128 identification, including reading and generating identifiers and printing labels. We confirm how your labels, printers and scanners fit the proposed setup.
MilkTrail includes a donor portal and supports use in your local language. We discuss the languages your donors and staff need and confirm language availability as part of your setup.
Yes. MilkTrail supports individual sites and regional or national networks. We agree which sites participate, how milk moves between them and what access each team needs.
Implementation covers agreed workflow configuration, training and verification of the setup with your team. It also includes an equipment review. Typical Standard implementation takes 1 to 2 weeks once scope is agreed and your team and IT are ready. Larger projects and custom connections follow an agreed timeline. Standard support is included in the annual licence.
MilkTrail supports API connections. Specific connections depend on the other system and are scoped separately. We review your requirements and confirm what is possible and what work is included in your proposal.
